Decentralized and Distributed aspect of Enhanced Intelligence

Our Future lies not in what we keep tomorrow or the next, but what we kept yesterday and today. Our tomorrow in the hands of AI and ML may just be contaminated if we fail to ensure accurate storage for our data using immutable and tamper-proof means now.

Known be told and emphasized, we live in a world where human need to do little thinking or related activities to get results. We need to do little tasks with as little as possible efforts to get work done. Such wasn’t the case some years back and now things are changing fast. New information is surfacing, data is piling up and new realms are being unfolded. Data is not only the new gold, but a restructuring catalyst for our known and unknown future. How great that future will be is a depending factor on how accurate and genuine the data we keep are.

In the prevailing era of the 4th industrial revolution, we have several disruptive innovations borne from these core technologies. While some people may see them as some distinct pieces of technology enabling innovations, I see them as arms to a single futuristic development empowered by an innovative synergy. The Artificial intelligence in its several parts offering ways for technologies to allow computer and machines to function in an intelligent manner to enhance human life. The Machine Learning like teaching a child to understand before he can think for itself provides the background and foundational technology that allows machine to learn and improve itself without being explicitly programmed. A whole new world of data reliance.

Data collected and stored, data sourced from external feed and processed among others all put together to carry out several analytics, forecasting being one. We have crossed the realm or era of historical findings and archeological discoveries, but now in the era of futuristic anticipation from collected past data. The present and the past information collected over a certain period of time according to the present science is the window to the future.

How easy is it to constantly be aware of the surface occurrences when we are several kilometers from it? If that seems tough, how easy is it to accurately determine what’s happening on the subsurface level while we are either on top of it or several miles away from it. Today, there is a huge dependence on not just the surface elements which is imperative for our survival but also those deep below the surface, the plants, the mineral resources, the water level among others without which life of citizens and economy of the country may fail. These are once again data that the present revolution has made easy for us to collect, process and apply in our frequent decision making. We have the IoT devices and sensors of various calibrations and purposes. Once again, another arm to the several ones in a singular ecosystem of disruptive technology.

I have a saying coined from several experts and put together which may be popular right now, putting the Distributed Ledger Technology at the center of it all to make it a whole and singular-multipurpose system. While the Machine does the learning, the Artificial Intelligence doing the thinking, The IoT devices does the feeling, and the Blockchain as a technology remembers it all. This represents the entire peripherals and sensory structures of an intelligent being. Coupled with an enabling body, it can do anything adequately. At the center of it all is still being able to not only store immutably but being able to also recall and remember untainted information just as they were stored.

Presently, there aren’t much blockchain platforms foundationally developed to cater for these needs. The credibility measure for any platform is in its ability to be able to collect data directly from the source automatically and store without human intervention once all the gadgets are in place. Reliability on 3rd party services to update information, review data before updating among other intermediate actions with little or no transparency are what placed our dear future in this era at risk in the first instance. This is a solution the blockchain provides as a technology but not in the capacity of all platforms.

The Ardor blockchain platform developed from scratch and coded in Java with several advantages such as APIs, in-built functional smart contracts among others recently announced a groundbreaking innovation. Ability to run a full blockchain node on Android mobile devices, an innovation made possible by basically two foundational implementations, the PoS algorithm and the popular Java language the blockchain was coded in. Although the technology offers a replacement for some existing industrial practices, it doesn’t necessarily require the replacements of basic infrastructures and basis to function not unless it’s not meant to be utilized by human. The developers of this platform saw the need for this and in over five years of development, the future of it all is now getting clearer.

The future I seek is not known as the past data to be collected to predict it is currently being predicted by the present archived data. How far can you think?
